âYou have a visitor.â
Rafael breathed easier. He hadnât slept all night and was glad that Daniel had come to see him. He had so much he wanted to say. They had been so stupid. He felt really bad, and he needed to end the relationship till they were both in a better place.
Submitting to the usual search before being escorted to the picnic tables where inmates could talk to visitors, Rafâs eyes scanned the room for his sub. Instead, they landed on his boss.
Fuck. It was too late to refuse the visitor. He took a seat opposite George and nodded his head in submission. He kept his eyes on his toes. Seconds passed into minutes, and he could see Georgeâs stoic expression out of the corner of his eye.
âYou missed your client this morning. You know heâs only in town on business every other month, and he pays very highly for your services.â
Rafael didnât say a word. He was not a sub, but everyone submitted to George. Leather boots caught his eye along with a flash of silver buckles. He looked like royalty, even in torn jeans and a polo. It was odd to see him out of his fetish clothes of period suits tailored to perfection, or leather pants and no shirt.
âLook up,â came Georgeâs command.
He complied.
âDo you have anything to say for yourself?â
Doing everything he could to keep the story straight in his head, he knew he was going to get a tongue lashing. But George didnât need to know what was really going on. âIâm sorry I missed Señor Belmount. Tell him I was unwell, and his next appointment will be on the house.â
âI rescheduled him with someone else.â
âWhy would you do that?â Rafael let a hint of anger break into his tone.
George cocked his head to the side and lifted one brow. It was a simple gesture, but Raf knew the look well. He didnât push it. âIt makes me look bad when my Dominants canât keep their appointments.â
âYes, Sir, I know.â
âI canât believe youâre back to hooking.â George folded his hands on the table.
âIâm not.â Rafael thrust both hands into his hair.
George pulled open his knee-length overcoat, fishing through his inside pocket till he produced a packet of folded papers. He tossed them on the table. Neither of them went for the documents. George stared him down, and Raf relented, dropping his gaze to the papers.
âDo you know what these are?â
âNo, Sir,â he answered, even though he had a pretty good idea what they were.
âItâs your arrest records for the past six months.â George didnât move or shift in place. Rafael didnât even think the man blinked when he was this intense.
âHowâ¦â He lifted the papers and unfolded them to find his mug shots staring back at him. It was public record, and he knew George would have found out sooner or later.
âI thought the trouble was because McCoy was riding you?â
âIt is. He keeps nabbing me as I leave the clubs and hotel rooms with my clients.
